- Infra Red Through Smart Phone Camera
Many devices in our home theaters today use infrared transmitters and receivers to communicate without wires to devices in the same room. Common products include IR transmitters on projectors and remote controls. Sometimes when things are not working correctly an IR transmitter is suspected. A simple way to tell if your 3D transmitter or remote is sending a signal is to point your phones camera at the business end and see if it is flashing by looking at the device through the camera. The attached image is an example of what a remote will look like through the camera when it is sending a signal properly.
